Review Process

The Conference accepts original work reporting on educational research, case studies or novel applications. All abstracts will go through a blind peer review process and the decision will be final. All abstracts accepted will be published digitally in the programme book and distributed to all conference attendees. The main or presenting authors are required to register and pay for the conference. Please note that registration must be made by 1 November 2019.


  • The abstract in APA format should be no more than 600 words, excluding key words and key references.

  • The abstract should describe and include as headings the purpose, method and preliminary or key findings.

  • Details of authors should be filled according to descending order of contribution (from most to least).

  • Use numerals to indicate numbers, except to begin sentences.

  • The use of tables, graphs and other types of images are not permitted.

The review will take into consideration the following : 


Significance of the purpose or objectives 

- why is the research question important? 

Articulation of the pedagogical perspective or theoretical framework

- what relevant literature provides the basis for the study e.g evaluation of the adopted teaching practice? 

Execution of method

- what is the procedure for collecting and analysing the data (quantitative/ qualitative) ?


Appropriate data 

- how are the data sources/s and/or evidence suitable for answering the research question? 


Impact and reach of the initiative or findings from the study

- what is the potential or actual impact and reach?

Presentation Format

The accepted abstracts will be presented in two formats: oral and poster. The oral presentations are organised in the parallel sessions, and each presenter is given 20 minutes. The posters will be exhibited at a gallery during the conference; the main or presenting authors are highly encouraged to avail themselves during part of the extended lunch period to interact with the conference participants.
