TRavel award

The Applied Learning Conference 2025 Programme Committee is pleased to announce a travel award for faculty from ASEAN universities outside of Singapore. This award aims to recognise faculty members in the ASEAN region and foster exchange and collaboration in applied learning. This award will provide financial support to attend the Applied Learning Conference 2025 and also the National Tech-Enhanced Learning Conference 2025.

 

The award is open to all full-time faculty members from ASEAN universities outside of Singapore. This includes faculty members from these countries - Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

 

To apply, please first submit an abstract to one of the following tracks (e.g. Applied Learning, Assessment and Evaluation, Learning and Instructional Technology or Workplace Learning). Next, submit your CV and a short (5 minute) video introducing the work you intend to present at the Applied Learning Conference through the application form.

Travel Award Application Period

2 January to 16 February 2025

Travel Award Quantum:

A lump sum of SGD 1,200 to cover airfare, accommodation, and travel expenses. The award will be disbursed in two instalments: 50% before and 50% after the conference. Recipients will also receive a complimentary conference ticket. The organiser will cover the withholding tax.

Other important things for prospective applicants to note:

Successful applicants will be notified and will receive instructions on how to receive their travel award. While your travel award covers the cost of attending the conference, you are responsible for making all your own travel arrangements (e.g. booking of flights, arranging accommodations and transport to the conference venue), including securing any necessary visas.
