ALC 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted two important roles for higher education – connecting graduate competencies directly to workforce needs and strengthening interdisciplinary learning for coping with future uncertainties. This is against the backdrop of a clear shift towards a more blended approach for delivering higher education, which requires learners to be more self-directed.

The 3rd Applied Learning Conference is therefore aptly themed “Embracing Change in an Era of Disruption”, focusing on exploring ways to evolve higher education to fulfil these roles. It brings together thought leaders and practitioners from around the world to share and learn about competency-based education, interdisciplinary learning and related areas like lessons from COVID-19, innovative technologies, and applied learning pedagogies.
