eligibility

This case writing competition is open to all educators, researchers, administrators, practitioners, and students. The reviewers/judges of the case competition are not allowed to participate in this competition.

Review Process

  • Each case will be judged based on the importance and innovativeness of the topic, its relevance to the theoretical concepts and frameworks, the general presentation of the case (structure, clarity, language etc.) and the extent to which it addresses the theme of “Embracing Change in an Era of Disruption”. 

  • All accepted cases will be published in the SIT Institutional Research Repository (IRR) under CC BY license and assigned a DOI.

submission requirements

  • Submitted cases must be in English.

  • The cases must be in APA format and should be no more than 2,000 words (excluding references).

  • The submitted case must be based on a real business situation.

  • The case must be original work and has not been submitted to anywhere else or published in any other public forum.

  • The case must be submitted in Microsoft Word document format.

Prizes

First Prize (one case):

The author(s) of the case will receive a single prize of 1,000 SGD, a certificate and one complimentary ALC 2022 conference registration for the lead author.

 

Second Prize (two cases):

The author(s) of each case will receive a single prize of 500 SGD, a certificate and one complimentary ALC 2022 conference registration for the lead author.

 

Third Prize (three cases):

The author(s) of each case will receive a certificate and one complimentary ALC 2022 conference registration for the lead author.

The winning cases will be announced in December 2021 and prizes will be awarded on Day 2 of the Applied Learning Conference 2022. 

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Case Writing Workshop

A specially organised case writing workshop will be conducted online by SIT CoLEAD (Centre for Learning Environment and Assessment Development) for all potential case writing competition participants. The workshop will be conducted on 7 October 2021, 2pm to 5.30pm. The workshop is complimentary and seats will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Please email miriam.wun@singaporetech.edu.sg to register for the workshop.
